Introduction

Double Wong Foundation Pte Ltd was established in Year 2000 and the main strength of the Company is in its foundation works especially in Earth Retaining System such as Secant Piles, Contiguous Bored Piles and Complex Combination of Retaining Wall System.

The Company has developed and continue in developing new technique in Bored Pile Foundation Works especially Boring and Coring into Rock, Rock Drilling has since become our Specialty. The Company has in the year 2008 establishes a new drilling technique in coring into hard rock of G1 and G2 using our invention of core bucket fitted with Tungsten Carbide roller bits and collecting rock samples intact within the core bucket (See photo in Appendix). The new technique highly enhances the drilling standard in Singapore and has also bring the rock coring technique to a new level. The new technique has the advantages of vibration free, less dust, less noise which translate to a more environmentally friendly technique that is more acceptable in today’s Singapore which is so densely built up.

As a move to support the Building Construction Authority of Singapore in promoting more environmental friendly in Singapore's Construction Industry, the young fleet of boring rigs we have procured since Year 2007 uses Green Engine which conforms with the latest Tier-3 emission requirement for European and American Standards. In June/July 2008, the Company was certified ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001. In March 2009, the Company has obtained Grade L6 for Piling CR08 from Building and Construction Authority of Singapore. This important, official recognition was given to Double Wong Foundation Pte Ltd following strict inspections carried out by authorised institutions. This confirms the quality level, which has already been appreciated over the years in this Industry. The Company endeavour to grow and continue to develop new system and technology to enhance its performance and services to serve its client better.
